A Cup of Tea has deep meaning in the China, it is rooted in respect, hospitality, and at its foundation, a moment of tranquility. It has been an integral part of the Chinese culture for centuries in cultivating partnerships. Taine, the leader of the Triad in Philadelphia, uses the simple drink to conduct all of her business dealings within her organization for both friend and foe. Taine, Abby, and Paolo have had tea together several times as she has manipulated the couple into doing her bidding.
