Tens of thousands of books have been written about the Civil War and the generals and statesmen who waged it. What about the men, the boys, who fought it? What motivated them to leave their homes, their families, their schools to fight and die against kinsmen and fellow Americans? In Answering Lincoln's Call, T.W. Harvey gives us an illustration. Based on letters written by his own forefathers, Harvey provides us a window to peek into the past and see what motivated these brave boys.
