Another Mother

Eighteen years after Leah Walker donates eggs to her thesis adviser in graduate school, Genevieve, the daughter conceived with one of Leah's eggs, appears at her office with an apparent agenda. Alongside Genevieve's arrival comes news that one of her relatives is trying to adopt the remaining embryos left over from the process. Can Leah and Genevieve find common ground to face the challenge.

The story begins with a trio of sisters, Regan, Rosalind, and Rhiannon. Losing her older sister and nearly her own life has a profound effect on Rosalind and influences her desire to recreate Regan's artistic vision in a startling way. Youngest sister, Rhiannon, faces her own challenges as a single mother and a busy nurse.

The choices Rosalind makes have life or death consequences for those she manipulates to achieve her ends and bring about her daughter, Genevieve. Left to her devices, Genevieve sets out to find the mother she's never known and unravel the many controversies surrounding her existence. Can she find the answers she needs to make some sense of what it took to bring her to life?
