In the dismal mountain town of La Sombra, world-weary souls wracked with various sorrows and past scars struggle to find peace of mind in the unforgiving rancor of everyday society. But grief and lies spread like wildfire as a new malice fans its wings out, hellbent on death and invasion, as an alluring stranger known as the Vulture arrives, heralding a harrowing shadow of his own.

Yet the Vulture's bizarre killings may be perturbing more than just the traumatized denizens of the Rockies. As federal agents, Vince Redman and Theo Nash, close in and race the clock to hunt down the Vulture, more heinous incidents plague the mountains as violent occult phenomena grow increasingly evident.
