Abigail's fight to save the planet continues in the sequel to Homeworld. She and her friends travel the world, adventure in space and time, explore a strange new world, and discover an ominous deadly stellar remnant that may spell doom for them all. Using teamwork, their smarts, and Abigail's special abilities, they bravely face strange aliens, ruthless foreign leaders, and her brother, Eliot, who is abusing his newly acquired powers. Abigail and her crew visit a new world they wish to colonize, but quickly realize that won't be possible if the local life is out to kill anyone who initiates first contact with them or threatens their coveted and scarce supply of underground water. Their Taurian friend, Tkla, has become infected with deadly microbes from the water and is experiencing vivid premonitions of his people's colony fleet spiraling into a mysterious source of darkness. Finding and rescuing the Taurian convoy may be the most dangerous mission Abigail and her friends embark on.

On Earth, Abigail's younger brother uses his new abilities to take a different path than hers. He is not interested in saving the world, and his big sister is not there to keep an eye on him because she's busy with her space missions and her crusade to protect the planet, which is on the verge of civil and global war. Abigail's efforts to unite the world may very well backfire, leaving the people of Earth more divided than ever.
