Elyon’s Barriers

In another world before Earth's time, the Hooni'i live in peace, save for the occasional skirmishes amongst themselves. They trust the invisible barriers placed by Elyon, the Deity, to keep the two higher species from destroying them. Over generations, the Hooni'i have come to believe these walls will protect them forever. But Bumpus, a restless inventor, begins to question what others will not.

Beyond the veil, two powerful factions wait. The Zauphrii, keepers of divine justice, are ready to carry out the sentence for an ancient rebellion. The Rauthlin, cunning and relentless, still burn to see that rebellion fulfilled. Both have waited millennia for the time the barriers would be rescinded.
