A millennia ago, when a great technological civilization was destroyed, the remnants of human-kind faced extinction. Recognizing their dire need, non-human predators, led by cat-kind, offered to help. Before long, human-kind and their chosen predators developed deep bonds and separated into five distinct Hunter tribes - Cat Hunters, Dog Hunters, Bear Hunters, Eagle Hunters, and Snake Hunters. To guide each tribe, one person was chosen to be their Spirit and endowed with mystical powers.
