Walk Out Proud chronicles my struggle to be queer from the 1950s on, a journey that began with fear, conversion therapy and a broken engagement with Lisa, to physical assault and a broken jaw in Mass General, and finally leading to self-acceptance and gay matrimony.

Edwin Light, a classical pianist, earned B. M. and M.M. at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a D.M.A. at Boston University. Associate Professor of Piano, Western Illinois University and Adjunct Faculty in Humanities at Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts. He’s performed widely in the States and in Switzerland and Austria.
