A true love story and an epic journey of one Greek immigrant Demitri Zavaos. Taking us from his childhood days in Sparta, working with the Greek Resistance to hide Jewish families from the Nazis in WW2, getting married to his childhood sweetheart in Sparta, coming alone to America and working to better his life. Sending for his wife, Lena, to join him in America. Together they created a family, made friends and made a business. Demitri, now a grandfather, cherishes his youngest granddaughter, Kassia. Kassia grows up close to her grandfather learning all his life's stories and lessons. Kassia, now a successful business woman, takes care of her grandfather through the good times and the bad. After her grandmother Lena passes from a tragic accident, Kassia now is more committed to grant her grandfather his final wishes to return to Sparta and live out his final years.
