The young Manzie Travelers have lived in the poor rural community of Manzie all of their short lives. They have come to the realization that most in their community doesn't even see them let alone hear them! A school project opens the door and their eyes to a quiet, very slow disease that has permeated their communities and many of the adults living in Manzie. The team work and their love for their community brings a magic to their lives. Artifacts that their parents and grandparents have given them things begin to happen and they are called to go on a magical journey to find their heritage. They use their invisibility to their advantage and go on a journey through all of Manzie to find their roots and strengths and vow to defeat the disease of Apathy in their community and bring back the spirit, love, respect and support for the beautiful communities in Manzie. This story takes place in Northern Michigan brings fantasy, history and reality into a surprising journey for these Guardians of Manzie. Growing up on the journey they become stronger, wiser and although battle scared, they are ready to help Manzie grow again and defeat the disease of Apathy once and for all.
