You may have seen all of the Airport disaster movies of the 1980's. In all but one of them the cause of the problem were on the 747. The one other was due to a small airplane crashing into the cockpit of the jumbo jet.

In Blind Vector, the 747 is in the air between Los Angeles and Boston and the hijackers are on the ground. The hijackers use remote control equipment to hijack the 747 and hold it for ransom.
