Synopsis: After a year in Vietnam, Ben landed in Oakland, California. He decided to take a slow journey across America before going home. He wanted to relax and enjoy his return to "the world." But Ben had a promise to keep. And he couldn't escape the war that was still raging. Little did he know how long the journey would become.

Autobiography: Terry Lee Raycraft spent 1969 in Vietnam as a Hospital Corpsman with the First Marine Division. After returning to Alabama, he practiced law in both the private sector and as a government lawyer. He has participated in conferences and has spoken to students about the Vietnam War.
