Synopsis: In this thought-provoking critique on Christianity, the author, a Christian herself, seeks to address pressing issues within the faith while preserving its relevance and integrity. She highlights the dangers of conservative dogma that veer away from the core teachings of Jesus, challenging her readers to a more nuance understanding of spirituality. By dissecting the root causes of spiritual stagnation, particularly the pitfalls of extremist thinking, the author illuminates the path toward Jesus' main message-The Kingdom of God. Through a discourse on reconciling opposing forces, the book offers a transformative perspective on faith, urging readers to transcend binary perspectives and embrace a more holistic spirituality. Ultimately the book serves as a guide for reclaiming the essence of Christianity and fostering a deeper connection with the divine.

Autobiography: Born to devout Catholic parents, religion has always played a key aspect of Lisa's life, weaving its threads through her early years as she attended Catholic school for eight years, and enriched the experience by attending youth groups and studying the bible. Faith alone couldn't sustain Lisa; she has always been driven by a thirst for knowledge, so she obtained a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering. Her academic pursuits led her to a position at McDonnell Douglas, where she contributed to engineering a small piece of the International Space Station. With luck, planning, and God's help, a new chapter of motherhood unfolded in her life. Embracing her role as a mother, she spent her days educating her children in both intellectual and spiritual endeavors, as well as researching and writing her first non-fiction book. During this time, she also volunteered to teach children Sunday school, offered a helping hand at South County Outreach, and counseled at a pro-life pregnancy center.

As her children matured and needed her less, she had more time to devote to her literary pursuits. She researched and penned this work, "A Kingdom of God: A Road to Peace." Today, her professional endeavors are split between non-fiction and technical writing. Her non-fiction writing serves as a conduit for her mission to assist others on their spiritual journey.
