Significant moments in life - rites of passage - milestones - are important in our children's lives, yet we often commemorate such occasions with a passing "congratulations." This is one of six Stepping Stone classes written to enable you to celebrate key milestones with the children in your ministry while encouraging and equipping their parents to be faith builders. Most parents would love to be present when their child first trusts Jesus for the free gift of salvation. It doesn't always work that way, but we can still provide an opportunity to present the gospel message and celebrate what God has done in a child's life.
The SALVATION milestone provides a biblically clear and age-appropriate explanation of the gospel. It teaches us how to know for sure that we will one day go to be with Jesus in heaven. It explains the gospel using the "Bad News" (We are all sinners deserving of death) and "Good News" (we can be sure of our eternal destination by believing in Jesus) and includes a lesson on Assurance (how to be sure).
