"...the house was haunted and cursed but what spooky old, abandoned house didn't have that reputation."
Inspired by the house-flipping craze, Murder in the Bayou follows Ben Clayton, an expert at restoring historic houses. Ben purchases an old southern mansion for next to nothing, drawn in by the unique architecture. But the house comes with a centuries-old curse. Every previous owner has died a gruesome death. The local townspeople won't go anywhere near it. The overgrown grounds are covered in holes from looters looking for a pirate's treasure rumored to be buried somewhere on the property.
As the renovation progresses, Ben uncovers long hidden secrets in the house's mysterious history. Everyone believes the house is nothing more than a creepy old mansion haunted by malevolent ghosts, but is the truth something even more frightening?
