"Using multiple and two-dimensional correlation analysis, the study examined the relationships between EEG rhythm amplitudes and frequencies within and between leads in individuals with typical development, intellectual disabilities, left-handers, and right-handers. Multiple regression equations were interpreted using polycyclic multigraphs. Results showed that left-handers exhibited more multiple regression coefficients, both within single leads and across leads. Individuals with intellectual disabilities had more regression and correlation coefficients than those with typical development. Among them, left-handers had fewer regression but more two-dimensional correlation coefficients than right-handers, possibly indicating higher neural tone. The greatest number of inter-lead regression links involved the alpha rhythm, suggesting multiple stationary generators with similar frequencies but differing phases. No polycyclic multigraphs were constructed for other rhythms, implying they may also have multiple generators."
