A Wrangler's Reckless Writings blends cowboy poetry, country humor and stories rooted in farm and ranching life. Each piece is crafted to entertain, inspire and connect with readers who appreciate the cowboy way of life.

I grew up in the country where farming and ranching was our way of life. We all learned to work hard hauling hay in the summer and milking cows morning and night. My father finally sold the milk cows and became a licensed outfitter and guide. We maintained around 50 head of horses during that time. I learned to shoe the horses, out of necessity, when I was 18. Shoeing horses has inspired more than a few of my poems. My father was an excellent outdoor cook and he passed that love for cooking on to me, which I still cherish today.

I went back to school later on in life and received my Registered Nurse degree at 52 years of age. I am now 71 and fully retired and plan to do more riding and writing.
