Red leaves-yellow leaves-orange leaves! It is a beautiful Indian summer, but mysterious things are happening in Cranberryport.

At Grandmother's house, on the edge of a cranberry bog, a great copper kettle disappears. From the town hall a gold weather vane has been taken. Next, Mr. Whiskers discovers that his greatest treasure, Annabelle, the carved figurehead from his grandfather's ship, is missing.

The sheriff orders the entire force into action, but he's too busy to listen to Mr. Whiskers and Maggie. They decide to track down the thieves themselves and set sail for a deserted island, where they have a hunch clues are to be found for the missing treasures. Danger and excitement abound as Mr. Whiskers and Maggie use their special brand of ingenuity and cunning to catch the thieves.

Once again, as a special bonus, the Devlins have provided a recipe. This time for a delicious cranberry pie-pudding.
