Sunrise with Noor is a story about Ahmed who is on a journey to discover himself. Growing up in Afghanistan in the late 1990s, Ahmed had a hard time accepting his sister's role as the breadwinner. Feeling incompetent and unable to be the "man of his family", Ahmed leaves Afghanistan abandoning his family and making his travels to Kashmir to join the army. Ahmed believes that the soldiers are good men. Ahmed's experience takes a toll, making it hard for him to believe he is becoming a good person.
