In this collection, the poet describes the evils caused by the dirty addiction of alcohol, the family pain and the spread of society. And describing it as repeatedly avoidable, depicting its various distortions and describing the family, social, economic, moral, character and personal decline caused by it respectively.
Alcohol starts from a scale and reaches gallons. The person does not know when his mere hobby dominated him and began to rule over him, and gave him his slavery. And then it begins to destroy the social, family, economic, character, moral and marital standards of living.
Day by day, the house, family, social institution, which is impure from the said levels, is deposed from all levels. And by becoming a shadow of terror, one’s own life becomes the thorn of the garden itself.
The family, society, in which he could groom and make a beautiful garden of flowers. He makes a cremation ground for the desires of his companions. They not only bring down their standards, but also destroy the talents of the family and bring them black shadows of frustration.
Daughters eat poison, sons reach jail in due to cheap behaviour. A woman becomes impure or a beggar. But the man is not ashamed and sometimes walks on the same path and attains untimely death and breaks the family.
In such a situation, his family is the most saddened by his life and death. While avoiding the pain of that family, the poet has asked the tavern for cups of poison, which can reduce the grief of the drunkard’s family.
