Set in the East Village of downtown New York City in 1991, UNKNOWN PLEASURES is a collection of erotic episodes linked by place as well as featuring an ensemble of punks, artists, students, and lovers all seeking connection within the lonely city. The three stories in this collection can be read individually or together, each one depicting various forms of desperate desire between men and women. UNKNOWN PLEASURES also include explorations into mature themes such as drug addiction, alcoholism, sex work, depression, and more.
