Winsome. Beautiful. Brilliant...

That's Dr. Kate Thompson in the world of forensic archeology. To her three male cohorts, she is driven, resilient, and fearless. She also guards her heart in ways that break theirs. Her field of study are the bones of the Maya and her cause is the preservation of their stories. When a ruthless adversary destroys Kate's site in the jungle of the Peten, the four stumble onto a plot involving not only looting--but murder. When a hidden burial site proves to be the key to an ancient mystery, Kate and her team become the targets of ruthless looters bent on taking what they can.

Ultimately, what Kate discovers about herself puts her and her team at risk. And then there's her heart. When chemistry ignites both the past and the present, Kate will have to make a decision between two friends and a possible future.
