Degree from Paine College, Augusta, Georgia; Teacher Certification from Augusta State University; Masters Degree in Education from South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, South Carolina; and Specialist Degree in Leadership and Administration from Lincoln University, Cleveland, Tennessee. She has served as the Director of the Children/ Youth Ministry at New Creation Christian Church and is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Eta Theta Zeta Chapter.

Ms. Morris has always known that she was destined to be a writer, focusing on children and adult fiction. She created the story character Makeda Tene in a story she wrote and illustrated in 1981 for a children's literature course she took at Augusta University. In 2007, this story, titled just One more Little Minute, became her first published children's book, now followed by SHE IS SO RUDE!

In JUST LIKE YOU, Makeda Tene is so excited! She is on a lunch date with her grandmother (Grand-Ma'Lady) at Legendary Dining Restaurant. But she cannot believe what she is seeing people actually doing, especially to her table server, Ms. Sara. What can Makeda do to make things better?
