Born in Florida and raised in New York State, Bob Ussery was active in his local church. He joined the Boy Scouts by age ten, took his first drink at seventeen, and was admitted to a hospital for alcoholism by twenty-one. He prayed if God would deliver him, he would spend the rest of his life serving Him. The Lord gave him a beautiful wife, Margy, and daughter, Katie Joy. He and Margy were married thirty-one years before she died of cancer. Still sober forty-six years later, a Spirit-filled Robert plans to go to Mumisa, Kenya, to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
