Sadly, On the 12th of August, 2022, Salman Rushdie was attacked as he was set to appear at an event at Chautauqua, New York. Just prior to the moment that he was going to deliver a speech, another man raced onto the stage and stabbed him multiple times.

This book entails a lot about the writer, how he was able to come out of hiding after he was condemned to death, including his accomplishments, his health concerns, previous attacks, the prevailing situation, etc.
