This book is about Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 61st Inf (C-1-61) of the 1st Brigade, 5th Division. The entire brigade was airlifted to South Vietnam and deployed in I Corps just south of the DMZ seperating North and South Vietnam in June of 1968. Charlie Company was mechanized infantry, and used armored personnel carriers. They fought using their APC's and occasionally went out on foot operations as regular foot infantry.They operated from the beach of the South China Sea, inland and up to the DMZ.
