"I found the lump in my breast. The old adage, 'hoping for the best', it was, in fact, 'the worst' - stage 3 metastatic breast cancer, as the cells had already spread into my lymph nodes. Both of my parents had died from cancer, but from different forms. So, I had to ask the question, "why me...?" I found solace in my family, close friends, and my kitten, "Hunter". My other kitty-cat, "Cinda", had recently passed-away. Although I did not feel ready to have another pet, my brother adopted Hunter for me. Hunter ended-up being my saving grace through this truly unexpected time of my life. I compiled this book to share my story of life during, and after, my diagnosis. In particular, for girls and young women, and their parents, in an attempt for them to know that they are not alone. But more importantly, to bring a smile to everyone who flips through the pages."
