The Zebra’s Stripes

Raphael, a zebra living in the plains of the Serengeti in Africa, has been struggling to love his stripes. When Raphael visits the forest at the edge of the plains with his family, he sees a world full of vibrant colors. The animals were a stark contrast to his black and white color. The wonderful colors of the lovebirds, the majestic, feathered heads of the crowned cranes, and so much more! He could not get the wonderful colors out of his mind, and after he returned home, he dreamt of the vivid colors of magenta, bright greens, teal blues, and ravishing reds! Raphael decided he needed to go back to the forest to find a radiant monkey named Federico that he had met during his first trip there. When he arrives, he and Federico set out to bring Raphael's colorful dreams to life, where they encounter various adventures and lessons on the way. Through his adventures with Federico, Raphael learns to love his black and white stripes. He learns that his stripes are what make him unique among the vibrant colors of the world.
