Ellie Discovers the Sabbath

All Ellie wants is to have fun. She wants to play with her ball and frolic on the farm! But on a trip to Grandma's house, she learns from another doggie that there's a time to play and a time to rest. At first, Ellie is very mad. She wants to do what she wants to do, and that's it! But then, the older wiser doggie, along with Ellie's Papa, teach Ellie all about God's Sabbath day. In the end, Ellie learns that God's Sabbath is much better and grander than she ever thought. It's not about taking her fun away. Instead, it's about putting her heart in the right place and showing others how much God loves them. The book is theologically rich, but written in a way a child (or adult) can understand it.
