Humanorama

All attempts to peer into the future are speculative, including this one. We engage in them not to tell us what will happen, but to help us contrast positive and negative scenarios and illuminate how we can bring about a desirable future. In other words, we study the future to help guide our actions in the present. Through a distillation of history, science, and current events, "Humanorama" presents evidence of patterns and features playing out over time that affect our near- and long-term future. Additionally, "Humanorama" examines our responses to these themes in the context of our collective journey. What are the likely consequences? Faced with numerous existential threats in our chaotic times, we are on the doorstep of the greatest transformation in human history. While the possibilities are both positive and negative, the fear-inducing, negative ones are easier to perceive. Despite this, there is evidence for a positive cultural shift to a more cooperative, interdependent civilization that is inclusive, equitable, sustainable, and highly prosperous, just as thought leaders have predicted for thousands of years.
