The ironic twist begins with a celebratory parade of an Olympic hero who won four gold medals in swimming raised in the flute player's hometown. The young man was also a swimmer and marched with his flute behind the convertible of the Olympic hero in this parade. Following the parade, Gregory, now 16 years old, decides to leave his hometown in Oregon and with the help of his family goes to Southern California attempting to succeed in his sport. Two years later, he defeated the Olympic champion and set his first World Record. Along the way, Gregory overcomes many issues and challenges. He went on to set more World Records and more achievements.
