The Evolution of Woman

Kiara provides her readers with an up close experience of her healing journey to love. A journey that starts with pain, anxiety, and confusion leading to a self-discovery for love to herself and God. Each poem documents an unique experience as she is raw, vulnerable, and passionate in this collection. Although she invites the world in to see her evolution and the revelations she discovers along the way, she intentionally connects the dots to also represent the woman of color's evolution.

In her journey to transformation, she presents her perception of the Black man and the beauty of his nature. She leaves her readers with an adoration for the identity of his being. Her poems are a genuine conversation she has with herself and God. Her admiration for her process, her God, and the essence of the black man and woman will give readers an unique perspective as they journey with Kiara.

She illuminates the poems with an image to vitalize the experience. She places a demand on the the black beauty standard by showcasing the diversity of the black man and woman. She portrays the variety of skin, hair, form, style all in one photo all to create new narratives of confidence and beauty in the Black culture.
