When aliens descend on Planet Beatnik, fifteen-year-old Caralee, three-year-old Lissie and nineteen-year-old Danuel flee to the woods. Separated from the city (and the girls' mother and father, ) the three of them find food, water, and shelter, but then the girls are captured in giant spiderwebs. Danuel does his best to free them, but the aliens catch him as well. What do the aliens want? Why are the kids being indoctrinated in mediation procedures? When the aliens finally release the three of them, they find that their lives are still not their own, because the aliens have demands.
