Inspired by the vast grasslands of Yunnan, China, Black Pig and The Seed is a story about the beginnings of the world. While looking for food in the dark, barren earth, Black Pig finds a magical seed. She shares her delight with her friends, but White Sheep is jealous and wants to steal it from her. He gets help to steal the seed from Green Beetle but when Green Beetle witnesses Black Pig's magic, he promises to help her keep the seed safe. White Sheep tries to steal the seed himself and gets caught. All the animals chase him up a mountain where he has to stay forever. Meanwhile, new forests, rivers, and oceans appear on Earth and the animals have more than enough to live and be happy. Heartbroken, White Sheep asks Black Pig for forgiveness.

A story about greed and the power of forgiveness, children will delight in this creative story about how the world was made. Perfect for Little Ones learning about compassion and love!
