Yojik is Maya's baby pet hedgehog. Yojik was first introduced in the Maya's Adventures series. Due to his popularity he commanded his own book series.

Yojik is found by Maya's older sister Mira abandoned by the river. Mira brings him home and he becomes Maya's constant companion.

Yojik has a lot of fun most every day. Sometimes Yojik gets into trouble but usually he successfully navigates the twists and turns that enter into his life. When Yojik is unable to save himself, Maya is always there to rescue him.
