Omari has never been one to back down from a challenge-especially when it comes to testing superstitions. So when he accidentally breaks a mirror, he's not worried... until his five-year-old nephew, Olah, widens his eyes and gasps. "Uh-oh, Uncle Omari... that's seven years of bad luck!"

At first, Omari laughs it off. Bad luck? Pfft. But then-one unlucky thing after another starts happening. He trips over absolutely nothing. His favorite snack mysteriously disappears (Olah swears he didn't eat it... but can he be trusted?). He spills juice everywhere, ruining his new shirt. But the worst of all? The house floods when he forgets to turn off the bath! One second, Omari's chilling. The next, water is up to his knees, and Olah is casually floating by in a pool floatie like it's no big deal.

With each new disaster, Omari starts to wonder-could Olah be right? Is seven years of bad luck really coming for him? Desperate to fix things before anything else goes wrong, Omari tries everything to break the curse. He attempts to glue the mirror back together (bad idea), he looks up weird remedies online (even worse idea), and finally, at his dad's suggestion, he throws salt over his shoulder. Will the salt trick work, or is Omari doomed to a lifetime of unfortunate accidents?

With Olah's hilarious little-kid commentary, over-the-top disasters, and a superstition-testing adventure full of chaos, this laugh-out-loud book will have kids questioning their own luck-and maybe handling mirrors a little more carefully!
