Sebastian's interest in philosophy started with his friends in college who at the time introduced philosophy to him by engaging in discussions of critical thought. Though they emulated Plato's Symposium and drank while speaking, It was these moments that left an impression on Sebastian into considering philosophy as something worth studying. With time the branched out learning about the philosophies of different cultures, only to end up back to where he started with his favorite philosopher. To this day, he acknowledges the fact that after all this time, he may have experienced and learned a lot, but he still finds himself humbled by the words of Socrates, realizing that true knowledge lies beyond the scope of what he knows.

"I am neither Athenian nor Greek, but a citizen of the world."

"Either knowledge is not to be attained at all, or if at all, after death. For then, and not till then, the soul will be in herself alone and without the body."

"The exchange of one fear or pleasure or pain for another fear or pleasure or pain, which are measured like coins, the greater with the less, is not the exchange of virtue."

Socrates

This small book captures just a glimpse of Socrates' impactful thoughts and life's work. He remains an emblem of wisdom and a pillar of philosophical inquiry, urging us all to live examined and thoughtful lives..
