The sun was setting on the horizon, bathing the sky in a mix of oranges and reds that seemed to promise something new, something that had never been said or felt before. In the city, people walked as usual, immersed in the routine of a world that seemed to never change, but something in the air, something invisible, was about to alter the course of everything.
Lucia stopped in the middle of the main avenue, watching the chaotic coming and going of cars and flashing lights. Her mind, as always, was full of contradictory thoughts, a tangle of memories, unfulfilled desires, and unanswered questions. She had reached a point in her life where she no longer knew what to do with what she had left. Everything felt repetitive, as if she were trapped in a spiral of wrong decisions and lost moments.
A noise, something subtle, brought her out of her trance. She looked around and saw that other people had also stopped walking, as if something had disconnected them from their routine. A flash of light lit up the sky, not like a simple lightning bolt or a shooting star, but like a sign, a message in the form of a glow.
It was then that a voice, soft but firm, was heard inside his head, like a whisper that he could not ignore.
