Mary Alice Clark graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University, with an M.A. Degree in Languages and Literature with an emphasis in ESL.

She taught ESL in the New Jersey public schools for 14 years and also taught ESL on service missions that she and her husband served on in Mongolia and Tonga.
