WolfScape is an adventure novel about a married couple in their mid-forties, prematurely gray who are in need of an exercise program. Frank and Alice Thompson, from Wilmington, North Carolina decide to take their first winter trip to their ramshackle cabin high in the San Juan mountains, 2000 feet above Telluride, Colorado. Frank rents a Chevy Blazer in town and they get groceries for two weeks before heading out. After a harrowing trip to their cabin, Frank leaves the car's front end facing directly into the North wind and no amount of anti-freeze is going to keep that car from freezing up. They don't discover this for about a week until Frank ventures out into the maelstrom to see what else he can use from the car for survival. The Blazer is totally frozen to the point Frank has to chip ice from the driver' door to enter the auto. He tries the ignition, but it is totally dead. Alice forgot the cell phone charger and it probably didn't matter because they were way out of Wi-Fi range. Wasn't long before they were running low on food and fuel and Frank had to fashion snow shoes in order to make the 22-mile trek to Telluride. However two wolves interact with him on his way to Telluride. One is a doppelganger of the Alpha wolf which is trying to protect Frank while the Alpha is trying to kill him. Will Frank make it?
