The Memoirs of Summer Ray

Juliana Love

"The Memoirs of Summer Ray," is the expanded version of the original Summer Ray book series. But it is written partially in Summer Ray's first person point of view. This volume is based on, "This Fair and Blighted Land," and brings out more of Summer Ray's personality; her struggles of having a Traumatic Brain Injury; PTSD; and so forth. As a diehard Yankee woman who is captivated by the Battle of Gettysburg, an unexpected trip to New York City changes the course of her life forever. The twists, the turns, the unpredictable storylines, and the spiritual warfare that surround Summer's life, you will find yourself feeling as if you are inside the pages of this book laughing, crying and fighting for our protagonist as dreams are denied her, demons are chasing her, and as a Civil War ghost haunts her. But the biggest battle of all, is the one inside her own human heart, poisoned by the bitterness of not feeling whole - the whole she "used to be" before her accident.

Throughout the pages of this book, though fictional, is very real Christian suffering and at times, anguish. I chose not to sugarcoat spiritual warfare as good vs. evil cannot be underemphasized. Hell is a real place and it is the intent of this author as the Bible states in Jude 1:23, "And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire." (KJV)

Added to the historical/fiction genres, are real non fictional characters such as: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and even some real folks in modern day Gettysburg. This book has also changed the course of the pilot screenplay as well. Thank you for being a part of our Summer Ray world.
