After their parents' tragic deaths, twelve-year-old Joey is left trying to survive a world that no longer makes sense one where silence fills the house and fear hides in familiar corners. With his older sister Stacey as his only guardian, Joey retreats behind cameras and walkie-talkies, recording everything as if proof might keep the darkness away. But when unsettling events begin to creep into his days and nights voices, shadows, moments that feel watched Joey starts to wonder if his fear is just grief... or if something real is closing in.

When Stacey takes him to a remote mountain cabin in a last attempt to escape, Joey realizes the danger has followed them and that it wears a human face. As the truth comes out and survival becomes the only goal, Joey is forced to see his sister differently and to confront a terrifying reality: sometimes the people who protect you are willing to become something frightening to keep you alive. And sometimes, the monster isn't the thing chasing you it's the choice you're forced to make to stop it.
