Another night, another guilt-ridden dream. I sit up in my king-sized bed drenched in sweat, and the gnawing pain of guilt strangles my stomach. I can't remember the last time I slept through the night. It had to be in college before it happened. You'd think I would have let it go by now!

It's been six years, yet it feels like no time has passed. I did everything I could to help the old woman, but she wouldn't accept my money, saying it wasn't truly hers. And her grandkid? The money was to go to tuition, but the grandkid went missing shortly before the heist. If the kid is found, they'll come home to no tuition, no future.

The guilt still gnaws. Two lives ruined. One mistake to correct.

I roll out of bed and begin my morning workout. I might as well use the sleepless night for something. Maybe today will be the day I finally get restitution.

One can only hope, right?
