Paradigm Shift is a collection of 22 short stories of various genres, including horror, science fiction, and fantasy. Four of these stories include a guest appearance by the character Carter Nash, the Last Mage, and the final story, the story giving the collection its title, serves as an introduction to Book 6 of the Last Mage series.

Some ideas include: a vampire seeking her mate, a man who can make dreams come true, an encounter with a cult, shifting dimensions, possessions of various types, and a few characters that will join the Last Mage.
