"What a great book! I simply could not put it down. There's mystery and then again, there's touches of tenderness in the community and on the workforce of the County Sheriff's Office. That's a wide spaced story-line! Sheriff Maggie Doane worked hard every day to get the work done and prove she could do it; her Poppo had been the former Sheriff and now ran a ranch nearby while helping her with paperwork; she was a local so knew the good and bad of the town; and, there was her first love that she never forgot.
