Tommy’s Pool Room

They usually start filing in about eleven o'clock, after Tommy sets things up. It was like going to church for some. The gospel was real talk, coming from everyday experiences. That was years ago, everybody was in their seventies now and the conversation was more polite and respectful. These were the survivors dealing with the usual aches and pains of getting older, few played pool anymore. It was about the connections, the fellowship, and the sharing of old stories, memories only a few knew about. Four stories of hope, love, and change.
