Their budget is far smaller than the average property values, but when Cole notices a joint listing for Ingledene and the greengrocers in the high street, the price is too good to pass up.

After a strange encounter with the house's caretaker, River begins to feel as if something is very wrong with the house. Over the next few days, she sees faces at the window, hears breathing in the darkness, and has an encounter with a mysterious man with an axe who vanishes before her eyes.

A few days later while checking out the greengrocers, a warning is thrown through the shop window, warning them that they are in danger, and to leave as soon as possible.

But it may already be too late.
