While Emmett searches for his next story, Julian feels lost in his soul-sucking job. Emmett wants to interview a Virginia couple who wed after a twelve-year relationship. On a rash decision, Julian tags along with Emmett on a road-trip.

When they meet the older couple, Riley and Conor Gordan-Flemming, friendship sparks immediately. Riley and Conor invites them to stay at their home.

After facing their own trials, Riley and Conor guides the younger men with friendship and advice. Hope rises when new possibilities appear. Julian doesn't want to lose Emmett's light and love and needs to step up to figure out what to do with his life.
