It was, quite literally, a truth detector in the palm of your hand. The idea had come to him after watching his favorite political debate one evening. The candidates dodged questions, twisted facts, and masked their dishonesty with practiced smiles. "Wouldn't it be nice," he thought, "if there was a way to know when someone's lying?"
