A Lady’s Dilemma

Anja Katz

In the lush fields of England's countryside, members of the upper social circles do not breed racehorses or delight in a brisk trot through town-they raise, ride, and race dragons.

Elizabeth Bennet's world is turned upside down when she inherits a prestigious dragon riding school from a dear friend who has died in a tragic accident. Through her sadness, Elizabeth is also excited to take on such a challenge. But Elizabeth quickly discovers that running the school is no easy feat, and she faces numerous challenges in maintaining its reputation and success.

Determined to secure a lucrative partnership to ensure the school's future, Elizabeth finds herself crossing paths with the wealthy and enigmatic Mr. Darcy. Intrigued by Elizabeth's exceptional dragon riding skills and strong spirit, Darcy becomes more involved with the school, bringing his younger sister Georgiana along for lessons as an excuse to spend more time with Elizabeth.

As they bond over their shared love of dragons, Elizabeth begins to develop feelings for Darcy, but she is uncertain of his true intentions. After receiving some bad advice from a jealous friend, Elizabeth suspects that Darcy may be trying to take over the school for himself.

Despite her reservations, Elizabeth can't deny the strong connection between her and Darcy. However, their relationship is tested when a rival dragon riding school threatens to steal away their students and ruin their reputation. With the future of the school at stake, Elizabeth must decide if she can trust Darcy and work with him to save the school or risk losing everything she's worked so hard for.

A Lady's Mistake is an adventurous variation of Pride and Prejudice that is suitable for all lovers of Jane Austen's romantic classic, and those who like a little bit of fantasy with their Regency romance.
